Membership

At Kehilat HaMashiach, we believe in a formal declaration of commitment for people to vote, hold ministerial positions, and receive other benefits of membership. Membership is completely voluntary for those who attend, and there are two types of membership available: The following table outlines the benefits and requirements of each type of membership:

Full Membership

Associate Membership

Ministerial Positions/Offices can hold any position/office can hold any position/office except for the office of elder
Voice for Congregational Direction may attend member's meetings; full voting rights may attend member's meetings; partial voting rights (may vote for most officers/ministerial positions, no vote in financial matters)
Counseling May receive ministerial counseling from the elders. Not eligible for any type of counseling. Counseling should be sought out from the primary congregation.
Prayer for Members Our intercessory team regularly prays for all full and associate members of the congregation.
Prayer Requests (submitted to intercessory prayer team) May submit prayer requests for oneself, emergency prayer requests for family members, and a list of unsaved family members to receive regular prayer for salvation. May submit prayer request for oneself and emergency prayer requests for family members.

Attendance regular attendance expected
Approval of Membership elder approval is required before membership is granted

1 If a potential member disagrees with any point of our vision or statement of faith, then he/she should submit a letter in writing or by e-mail. The congregation's elders can decide to waive the requirement for the member's full agreement with the vision and statement of faith if the points of disagreement are considered to be minor.
